Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Super Sleuth
Back in 1985, in a stroke of genius, Brøderbund Software made the only educational game on earth that managed to suck me into its gameplay.
Never before had I been susceptible to the thinly cloaked disguising of ‘educational games’. But somehow Carmen Sandiego managed to bundle a geography syllabus into its private detective exterior. Chasing Fast Eddie B, Scar Graynolt, Nick Brunch and Carmen herself around the world and back again was a full time job – but you couldn’t forget to get that warrant before you lay the book on them.
You started out as a gumshoe investigator working for the ACME Detective Agency and over time you worked your way up the ranks to Private Eye – although I always thought it was cooler being a Super Sleuth. Following those guys around the world, I soon became an expect on flags, thanks in part to the childrens book, Richard Scarry's Busy Busy World, which had all the flags of the world on the back – that won me plenty of games.
Once you caught the right plane to the right city you could cruise down to the local sport club and shake down the tennis pro for info, or the baggage clerk at the airport or even a sailor's parrot down on the riverfront. You always knew you were onto a winner when the crook had been heard to be interested in ‘studying the aborigines’ or ‘seeing the Opera House’ – or maybe he left in a red sports car flying a red, blue and white flag…hey, that's how these crooks rolled.
They often stole absurd things as well, including the World Trade Centre in one case!
Either way, the game sold a stack and spawned a million sequels, a cartoon and even a live game show.
Somehow though, Brøderbund Software still went belly up and the game is now considered ‘abandoned ware’, so you can go chase Carmen and the rest of her V.I.L.E. agents in all its retro glory for free HERE
"You’re on the right track!"

Fast Eddie B -- lol.
I always remember they used to try and pass off some crappy math game on the old coleco back in school as if it was mega fun.
