Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf is probably my favourite ‘bad’ movie of all time.
I absolutely loved it as a kid, and I know all the scenes and the entire soundtrack.
With all of its short comings, and plot holes, it just gels with me for some reason, and I know others have said the same.
Somehow Michael J Fox manages to turn this seemingly cheap and tacky teen comedy into a feel good, thought provoking little film.
(But if you want true B-grade, you have to check out one of the worst sequels ever made –possibly one of the worst movies full stop; Teen Wolf Too. Jason Bateman must still be kicking himself to this day.)
Everyone could identify with small town 17 year old Scott Howard as he wished for more in his mundane life, but when he got it and more, he realised he had it all in the first place...magic.
There were a few funny things about it though – like those dodgy basketball dunks and shots, played over and over again, or the shoddy transformation makeup.
And why didn’t anyone seem to care that there was a wolf-dude in their highschool - FBI anyone? It must be because we were so cool and radical in the 80’s it was just no biggy.
All the actors were so much older than their teenage screen counterparts. Pamela Wells looked about 28, and her boyfriend Mick looked about 38!
But famous scenes like ‘riding the waves’ on the van to Surfin USA, Stiles (a classic character in his own right) getting Scott to buy the keg, and the ‘Win in the End’ climatic finale where Scott chooses himself and Boof (lol) make this a memorable romp.
Plus the cult classic scene to look out for at the end when a guy in the grandstand decides to whip out his ‘piece’ in the background!
But for a glimpse of the Directors original darker plot, see below -
Teen Wolf - the directors cut
‘Look, don't tell me you're a fag because if you tell me you're a fag, I don't think I can handle it.’

Like I said - its a BAD movie.
In Michael J Fox's autobiography he blatantly curses it out, saying its one of the worst he ever did. LOL
If I saw it now for the first time, I'm pretty sure I'd think it was a joke.
