100 Posts!
That’s right, one century, baby. Thanks to everyone who logs into BTTE on a regular basis, the site has really been going from strength to strength in the last few months and I hope the popularity will just continue to soar. To celebrate, this week’s BTTE Top 10 will be made up of the most popular posts from our first 100. Some get in because of their high Orble points, or some just make it because they constantly score high hits. Time to get nostalgic about nostalgia!
Saturday Morning : 80's Cartoons – Really Long Link
This is the number one post (by Obrle points) that we ever did and still reigns in plenty of hits today. Truly one of the best things about the 80s.
Focus, Daniel-san! Karate Kid – Really Long Link
Even though it was more about the art than the movie, this has been our number one movie post since the beginning (just in front of Ghostbusters and Terminator). The Sweep the Leg music video still cracks me up.
Soundtrack to the 80's – Really Long Link
Nothing sells an album like the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack sticker and it has been proven here as this has become one the most hit posts on BTTE.
Degrassi Junior High – Really Long Link
Who would have thought that this little Canadian gem would turn into one of the most hit posts on our site – Orble points and outside views alike. Gold.
Top 10 Tom Cruise films – Really Long Link
Some say he’s the most famous man in the world, and to some point that is proven here because Google is constantly pointing people in his direction...plus, he was so much cooler back then.
Famous 80s Cars – Really Long Link
This was one of my shorter posts that I just threw out there and it turned into one of the most popular as millions log on to Google to reminisce about those red Ferrari’s they craved in 85.
80's Power Ballads – Really Long Link
Our number one hit post almost every day of the week. It was just a time when all of the planets aligned and the hard rockers of the 80s were given the perfect formula for the perfect song...and people are still loving them to this day.
80s Teen Idols – Really Long Link
Women all over the world log into this post on an almost constant basis to check in on their past crushes.
You know you're an 80's kid if... – Really Long Link
This was our biggest hitter in the early days and still brings in plenty of punters. Anyone who grew up around the time of the 80s can relate to this and needs to check it out.
Steve Guttenberg week – Really Long Link
The Steve Guttenberg week wasn’t one post; it was actually four, followed by a mega-post to finish it up. I never knew Steve had so many fans, because I got more email in that week than I’ve gotten the 51 other weeks BTTE has been around. Here’s to looking forward to this year’s Steve Guttenberg week!
"Then tell me, Future Boy, who's President of the United States in 1985?"
