Top 10 Mötley Crüe songs

On the Wildside
The Crüe were huge innovators in the music industry in the early 80s and helped to shape the rock scene for the entire decade. They disappeared into mediocrity for more than 10 years before emerging with their bestseller book The Dirt, which is now to be made into a huge feature film. They then followed through with several big singles and a new album that put them back on the leaderboard.
Mötley Crüe songs
Live Wire – Too Fast for Love
The first hairmetal album; years before hundreds more caught on and still one of the best. I remember I played this song to a friend for the first time in my car and he couldn’t believe it was 20 years old, saying that it sounded so fresh. They never sounded so fresh again either.
Too Young to Fall in Love – Shout at the Devil
Generally agreed to be their most underrated song. Great drums, riff and vocals. One of my all time favourites.
Home Sweet Home – Theatre of Pain
Possibly the first ever metal ballad, it can be terrible or great, depending on your mood. The version on Decade of Decadence was stronger, owing to the keyboard being replaced by a piano. It was also done again with that goof Chester from Linkin Park…
Wild Side – Girls, Girls, Girls
This is still as fierce an menacing today as it was then. It comes roaring out of the gates and still delivers the goods every time.
Kickstart My Heart – Dr. Feelgood
This was their big pump-up sports song, and it does its job well. Great sing-a-long chorus and talkbox solo.
If I Die Tomorrow – Red, White & Crue
I thought I better include one of their new songs, seeing as they didn’t release anything but drivel for more than ten years and then miraculously landed back in the charts several times in the last few years. Awesome effort.
Dr. Feelgood – Dr. Feelgood
One of their heaviest songs and best lyrical efforts. The boys stick to what they know and wrote a song about a drug dealer in Hollywood. Nice.
Knock 'Em Dead, Kid – Shout at the Devil
Unknown to most, but a huge fan favourite. There’s basically only one riff that continues through the entire song that creates an awesome groove with one of Vince’s strongest deliveries.
Primal Scream – Decade of Decadence
This is another song that just pumps with its awesome groove. Probably their last truly classic single.
Shout at the Devil – Shout at the Devil
Their signature tune and one of the coolest intros in rock. They bastardised it with the abysmal ’97 Remix, but thankfully bought it back to its original form.
Other notable mentions:
Smokin’ in the Boys Room, Looks That Kill, Girls, Girls, Girls, Piece of Your Action, Without You, Same Ol' Situation, Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away), Hooligan's Holiday
"Kneel down ye sinners to streetwise religion, greed's been crowned the new king."
